About Us
My name is Di Bustamante and I am a consulting hypnotist, birth
doula, HypnoBirthing® Practitioner, childbirth educator, prenatal
massage therapist and a faculty member of the HypnoBirthing®
Institute. Originally from the US, my husband and I spent have
spent the last 5+ years living in Singapore.

My interest in birthing started when I had my children. My
pregnancies were filled with complications and bedrest. After
birthing my daughter I became the Director of the Arizona Chapter
of Sidelines, a non-profit organization that provided peer counseling for women experiencing
pregnancy complications. I wanted to learn more about the normal side of pregnancy and pursued
an education in Doula support services and Childbirth Education. Feeling there was still more to
learn to assist parents in achieving a more empowering birth experience, I became a
HypnoBirthing® Practitioner. This has changed my entire outlook on birthing and I love teaching
families this method of birthing. Continuing to further my knowledge of hypnosis, I became a board
certified hypnotherapist in November 2006.

At Birthright Singapore Doula Services we offer a wide range of services for those planning a
pregnancy, currently pregnant, those that have recently given birth and for those interested in a

POSITIVE BIRTH STORY
Saturday was the last class of the HypnoBirthing course's 5 sessions.  Around 5PM a first time mum pulled me aside and said she
was leaking some fluid.  Since she was 36 weeks I suggested she call her OB.  She and her husband left the class soon after her
call.

I called her that evening at 9PM to see how she was feeling.  She said the doctor said her membranes were intact, her cervix
closed and long.  She was having surges, but not really feeling them.  The doctor suggested she could stay in hospital or go home.
They chose to go home and at 9PM when I called, she still could not feel her surges, just a tightening sensation.

I received a sms the next morning that they had returned to hospital at 12:15AM and she was 1.5cm.  At 2:15 the surges changed
and were intense; 2:30 she was at 10cm and their baby girl joined them at 2:44AM!  This little girl has no name as yet - her
parents thought they had another month to decide on one!
